Hi I'm Tousif. And at the cost of sounding cliched — I love design. Knowing my work improves someone's life gives me immense energy. I'm grateful my job let's me do that.

In my 5+ years designing, I've worked on projects of all scale, from making ppts 💀 to leading design for a product 🤩. What's remained common across is to always start by understanding who I'm designing for. Overtime, as I "wised up", I also began to see the business goal behind it. Once that connection became visible, I finally understood how design creates value.

Overtime, I've picked up skills to double down on creating (and measuring) value through design. I'm obsessed with financial impact. Why should MBAs have all the fun?

But it's not all metrics, I also fixate over interactions, UI and (lately) motion. I enjoy design crits and testing design concepts. And now with AI, I'm even more engrossed in design sytems, UI bug fixes and shipping design end-to-end. Working in CSS honestly feels similar to sanding a rough edge of a styrofoam prototype until it feels just right. And that's craft to me — caring about details.
